Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of our Wilmette workshop, where traditional craftsmanship meets cutting-edge technology in the creation of custom architectural hardware. This immersive experience will explore the intricate world of metal finishes, detailing the environmental considerations and best-use cases for each type.
Participants will gain insight into a variety of finishing techniques—including polishing, electro-plating, hand finishing, and protective coatings—and how these impact both aesthetics and durability. We鈥檒l also walk through key production methods such as lost wax casting, machining, and 3D printing. The tour will be rounded out with a look into the history of architectural hardware, how it fits into architectural schedules, and important considerations around life safety, egress, and fire-rated hardware.
Interactive Q&A will be encouraged throughout the event. Pending venue availability, we hope to continue the conversation over cocktails and light bites following the workshop.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:
